The Community Foundation of Volusia & Flagler has announced that financial executive David N. Jones has accepted an appointment as the Community Development Manager.
Jones has worked in banking and wealth management, and active in volunteer support of strategic planning and development campaigns for local non-profit causes and organizations.
In his role as Community Development Manager for the Community Foundation, Jones will be responsible for working with community partners and donors to continue building and serving relationships to support the United Way, the parent organization, in meeting the community’s critical needs in education, financial stability and health.
“With the growth of our foundation’s support to the United Way and the community, it has become apparent that we needed to add a professional management position to guide these efforts,” said William Ward, community foundation director. “We are fortunate indeed to have someone with David Jones’ experience, credentials and insight join our team and we look forward to working together to advance philanthropy in our community.”
Jones, and his wife Debbie and two sons, all work and live in the community. Jones received his bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Central Florida.
