Ormond Lions award two students with Andy Romano Memorial Scholarship

Congrats to Ashley Beers and Olivia Squires-Propper

The Ormond Beach Lions Club awarded two Seabreeze High School students with its Andy Romano Memorial Scholarship at the school’s awards ceremony May 24. Valued at $1,000 each, the scholarship awards were presented to Ashley Beers and Olivia Squires-Propper by Lion President Tom Millen.

Ashley Beers accumulated a 4.0 GPA, is a member of the National Honor Society, was a varsity runner for three years, and served as team captain the 2015 season. She accumulated over 250 hours of community service during her time at Seabreeze, and served as president of the Save Our Seas Club her junior and senior years.

Olivia Squires-Propper accumulated a 3.9 GPA, is also a member of the National Honor Society, was school volleyball team captain, and was honored as a Lions Student-Athlete of the Month this year. She was a member of nine different clubs/organizations during her time at Seabreeze, and garnered many honors and awards, and accumulated over 650 hours of community service.
