Inside the Ormond Memorial Art Museum and away from the hot summer heat, a masterpieces were being made.

Eight-year-old Alyana Verzal was deciding between white or yellow flowers to color onto her pop-up paper cottage. After muling it over for a few seconds, she decided yellow was the "right the thing to do."

Verzal was one of the many kids who came out with their families to the first — of hopefully many — Dinner, Art and a Movie night. Hosted by the museum and the City's Department of Leisure Services, the event included food trucks, a free art project and a free movie in the park.

The movie in July will be "Minions," and the movie in Aug. will be "Cinderella.

What's for dinner?

The vendors for the event included Southern State of Mind, Vitamina T - Tacos on Wheels, Schmancy Pops and FollowThe420Truck.
