Q: What is the e-Newspaper?

A: The e-Newspaper is an updated digital edition of The Observer delivered to your inbox each Thursday, including: every article, photograph, advertisement, even the crossword puzzle! You'll have the ability to download or email articles, photos, etc.

Q: How do I access the e-Newspaper?

A: You can find The Observer’s e-Newspaper here or search for "Observer Local” in the Google Play or Apple app store to download the app. The app is free to download, but the e-Newspaper requires a subscription to read. You can purchase a subscription at ObserverLocalNews.com/subscribe

Q: What time is the e-Newspaper usually available?

A: In most cases, the e-Newspaper will be available by 5:30 a.m. on your browser and app each Thursday.

Q: How do I access the app? Can I get access from my smartphone or tablet?

A: The Observer app may be downloaded from the Apple app or Google Play stores, but the e-Newspaper requires a subscription to read. Separately, The Observer’s website is available through your device's web browser at ObserverLocalNews.com.

Q: If I have a computer at home and a computer at my office, do I need to purchase two subscriptions?

A: No. You can login using your account username (your email address) and password from wherever you access the internet. If you subscribed on one computer and would like to sign in at a different computer (e.g., home and work computers), go to ObserverLocalNews.com/e-Newspaper.

Q: How is the e-Newspaper digital subscription billed?

A: Subscriptions are billed annually by credit or debit cards. Subscriptions will be renewed automatically, and you will be charged one month in advance of your renewal cycle unless you cancel.

Q: What if I don't want to subscribe? Can I still read the printed newspaper or have access to ObserverLocalNews.com?

A: The printed Observer remains FREE and can be picked at more than 500 locations. Find a copy here. Most content on ObserverLocalNews.com is FREE and available to non-subscribers, exclusive content is available to our subscribers only. The e-Newspaper requires a paid subscription.

Q: When I go on vacation, can I put my e-Newspaper access on hold?

A: The Observer is available anywhere there's an internet connection, so you can easily take us with you!

Q: How do I cancel my e-Newspaper subscription?

A: To cancel, contact our Customer Service department at [email protected] or call 386-447-9723.

Q: Does the app work on all devices?

A: The app works on most devices. It is no longer compatible with the Amazon Kindle products.

Home Delivery
Q: If I go on vacation, how do I temporarily suspend delivery of my print newspaper?

A: With one week’s notice, you can suspend delivery of your newspaper by contacting our Customer Service department at [email protected] or call 386-447-9723. When you return, please contact us to restart your home delivery service.

Q: What should I do if my newspaper does not arrive or is damaged?

A: Notify us that your delivery was missed or that your paper is wet or damaged by emailing [email protected] or call 386-447-9723 by 2 pm on Thursday and we will redeliver by 7 pm the same day. If you report delivery issues after hours, we will apply a credit to your account. If emailing, be sure to include your name, delivery address and home phone number. The email's subject line should contain the words: MISSED PAPER.

Q: Is it necessary to call to restart my subscription after it has been temporarily suspended?

A: If you provide a restart date when you suspend delivery, you do not need to notify us to restart your service. If your restart date changes or you did not give us a restart date, you can update or add a restart date by contacting a Customer Service representative at [email protected]or call 386-447-9723.
