If you visit the Valenti household during any time of the day, you'll probably hear 13-year-old Antoinina singing.

A gift that her mother, Jennifer Valenti, recognized when was a little girl, singing is something the teen says she's always wanted to do. From talent shows to self-produced school performances, Antoinina Valenti has been in the spotlight for a long time, even with her young age. This past weekend she went from the school stage to something, well, a little bigger.

After six hours of waiting, she sang "Don't Stop Believin'" by Journey in a 90-second audition for the producers of "America's Got Talent." Though she was nervous, Antonina Valenti hopes her talent and passion shines through.

"I think I did good," she said. "Everytime I sing I feel so much better. If I can do that for a long time, I'll be happy."

A former Ormond Beach Middle School student, Valenti and her mom made the decision to homeschool over winter break and pursue singing full time. She's currently writing her own songs and looking to get them recorded. When she turns 15, she plans on auditioning for "The Voice."

"We're invested," Jennifer Valenti said. "We want this for her, as long as she continues to show attention and a desire for it. She knows her dreams, so we're just following her lead."
