Beach house sells for almost $1.5 million

A house on the beach was the top real estate transaction for the week July 14-20 in Ormond Beach and Ormond-by-the-Sea. John and Karen Upchurch, of Ormond Beach, sold 333 Ocean Shore Blvd. to Sean and Jennifer Amorginos, of Longwood, for $1,436,575. Built in 1981, the house has five bedrooms, three baths, two half-baths and 5,070 square feet. It sold in 1999 for $525,000. Following is a partial list of the week’s other sales.

Ormond Beach

Bradley and Neva Litke sold 400 Leeway Trail to Steven and Holly Corless, of Ormond Beach, for $610,000. Built in 1994, the house has four bedrooms, three baths, a fireplace and 2,854 square feet. It sold in 2004 for $600,000.

George and Patricia Anderson, of Pepperell, Maine, sold 72 Fairway Drive to Daryl Harris, of Flagler Beach, for $340,000. Built in 1971, the house has three bedrooms, three baths, a swimming pool and 2,352 square feet. It sold in 2003 for $240,000.

Asti Wilson, of Foxcroft, Maine, sold 31 Byron Ellinor Drive to Anthony and Kristina Farrell, of Ormond Beach, for $245,000. Built in 1949, the house has three bedrooms, two baths, a swimming pool and 2,152 square feet. It sold in 2010 for $165,000.

Tres Amigos Property Group LLC, of Port Orange, sold 1299 Scottsdale Drive to Max and Tara Swanton, of Ormond Beach, for $177,000. Built in 1959, the house has two bedrooms, two baths and 988 square feet. It sold in 1990 for $55,000.

Glen Huckins and Amy Reyes, of Ormond Beach, sold 1733 Valencia Ave. to Steven Cosseboom, of Ormond Beach, for $150,000. Built in 1969, the house has two bedrooms, one bath and 1,173 square feet. It sold in 2008 for $110,000.

Breakaway Trails

John and Eunice Penington, of Winter Garden, sold 14 Lake Vista Way to Justin and Anne Ellery, of Ormond Beach, for $417,500. Built in 1988, the house has five bedrooms, five baths, a fireplace, swimming pool and 3,500 square feet. It sold in 1991 for $230,000.

Ray and Karen Allan, of Ormond Beach, sold 52 Black Hickory Way to Louis Reinwasser and Veronica Beecroft, of Okemos, Michigan, for $330,000. Built in 2004, the house has three bedrooms, two baths and 2,114 square feet. It sold in 2014 for $270,000.

Chelsea Place

Michael and Patricia Shumaker, of Powhatan, Virginia, sold 301 Chesham St. to Brian and Elizabeth Shumaker, of Midlothian, Virginia, for $410,000. Built in 2007, the house has three bedrooms, three baths, a swimming pool and 2,870 square feet. It sold in 2017 for $380,000.

Halifax Plantation

Gregory and Jacquelyn Harmon, of Flagler Beach, sold 3919 Kiowa Lane to Laura Goss, of Ormond Beach, for $429,000. Built in 2018, the house has four bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a fireplace and 2,467 square feet.

Hunter’s Ridge

Fretwell Construction Co., of Daytona Beach, sold 55 Thornhill Chase Circle to David and Frances Bethea, as trustees, for $428,500. Built in 2018, the house has three bedrooms, three baths and 2,622 square feet.

Frank and Lois Rey sold 26 Dartmouth Trace to Tonie Gaskin and Joseph Parker, of Ormond Beach, for $425,000. Built in 1999, the house has four bedrooms, four baths, a swimming pool and 3,371 square feet. It sold in 2005 for $480,000.

Ormond Lakes

Gloria Lotzer, individually and as trustee, sold 21 Moonglow Drive to Charles and Geraldine Carbiener, of Ormond Beach, for $290,000. Built in 2006, the house has three bedrooms, two baths and 2,037 square feet. It sold in 2013 for $228,000.

Plantation Bay

Geraldine Westfall, of Ormond Beach, sold 784 Aldenham Lane to Harry Freeman, Timothy Frank and Benjamin Cox, of Ormond Beach, for $241,000. Built in 2017, the house has three bedrooms, three baths and 2,056 square feet. It sold in 2017 for $241,500.

Ormond-by-the-Sea

Tyler Dean, individually and as trustee, sold 6 Sea Dance Terrace to Robert and Stacey Adkins, of Ormond Beach, for $375,000. Built in 1983, the house has three bedrooms, two baths, a fireplace, swimming pool and 1,630 square feet. It sold in 2018 for $191,700.

William and Susan Wright, of Ormond Beach, sold 50 Aqua Vista Drive to James and Katie Hayworth, of Ormond Beach, for $237,500. Built in 1963, the house has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,407 square feet. It sold in 2015 for $173,000.

John Esbenshade, of Ocala, sold 1275 Ocean Shore Blvd., Unit 206, to John and Judith Dickson, of Hendersonville, Tennessee, for $230,000. Built in 1981, the house has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,013 square feet. It sold in 2000 for $127,500.

Jacqueline Gurz, as personal representative, sold 8 Poinsettia Drive to Bobby and Cynthia Blair, of Ormond Beach, for $185,000. Built in 1955, the house has three bedrooms, 1.5 baths and 1,368 square feet. It sold in 2016 for $151,000.

Tyler Dean, individually and as trustee, sold 46 Palmetto Drive to David Driscoll, of Henderson, Nevada, for $127,000. Built in 1955, the house has three bedrooms, two baths and 812 square feet. It sold in 1999 for $49,300.
