Planning board votes in support of new 131-home community within Plantation Bay

Lots will be at least 60 feet wide.

A proposed new 48-acre community within Plantation Bay got the county planning board's support during a March 8 board meeting.

The Planning and Development Board voted unanimously to approve a site development plan and preliminary plat for the community, called Unit 12A, which will have 131 single-family homes at a density of 2.74 units per acre south of Stirling Bridge Drive.

Lots would be at least 60 feet wide, Flagler County Growth Management Director Adam Mengel said.

The Florida Governmental Utility Authority will provide water and sewer service.

The planning board's approval was conditional on construction occurring only after a land development permit is issued. Extension of water and sewer lines must also occur before a final plat is approved.
