The Daytona Beach Area Alumnae Panhellenic recently held its annual spring luncheon with a Derby Day theme at Oceanside Country Club in Ormond Beach.  

Five scholarships in of $1,000 each were awarded to deserving college students that are members of a National Panhellenic Council affiliated sorority.   Each recipient also received a certificate prestented by scholarship committee chairman, Barbara Houpt.

Angel Scholarships

Marcia Rudman, O.F.S., Vice President of the Prince of Peace Council of Catholic Women, presented Angel Scholarships of $1,000 each to Brooke Reams and Erika Falkenberg.  Brooke recently graduated from Mainland High School and also received an Associate of Art Degree from Daytona State College. She plans to attend the University of North Florida majoring in American interpretive sign language.  

Erika graduated from Father Lopez Catholic High School and plans to attend Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and will major in Homeland Security and be a member of the Air Force ROTC.
