When John D. Rockefeller entertained at the Casements, he and his guests dined on the best that Ormond Beach had to offer – great food and fine wines. The Taste of Ormond will repeat that tradition for the fourth year from 4 -7 p.m. Sunday, March 5.

This year, guests will dine on fare from 19 of Ormond’s best restaurants including; 31 Supper Club, Blau, Cakery Creation, Crab Island Café, Crabby Chris, Donnie's Donuts, Greektown Taverna, Grind Gastropub, Hershey's Ice Cream, Kale Café, Living Waters/Angel's Café, Lulu's Oceanside Grill, Maria Bonita, Ormond Beach Olive Oil Company, Rose Villa Southern Table and Bar, Stonewood Grill & Tavern, Thai Woodhouse, Toscana Ristorante and Virgola.

Eat like a Rockefeller without spending like one! Ticket holders may sample as many restaurants as they like, and there is no additional charge for each food item.

There will be a wine and craft beer tasting area offered by S.R. Perrott, and each table of 10 will receive two bottles of wine to share.

Live music and a charity raffle round out the afternoon with plenty of time to relax, enjoy the garden sunset and the company of friends.

Taste of Ormond is a fundraiser for Ormond Beach MainStreet, the local non-profit that works to grow and enliven Ormond’s core district along Granada Boulevard. The money raised at this event goes to help new local businesses with marketing grants, fund new initiatives for downtown and bring new events, art and entertainment into the district.

Annual Flower Show and Tea's St. Patrick’s Irish Celebration

The Ormond Beach Garden Club’s Annual Flower Show and Tea's St. Patrick’s Irish Celebration will be from 1:30-3:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 1 at The Casements, 25 Riverside Drive.

Garden club members will present floral designs and horticultural specimens. Plants, jewelry and collectibles will be available for sale and there will be refreshments.

What is hospice and who needs it?

An information session on hospice care will be offered at the First United Methodist Church of Palm Coast, 336 S. Halifax Dr. in Ormond Beach, from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Feb. 25.

Holly Van Hoose, retired assistant director off hospice, will present the program.

Seabreeze High school tour

All incoming freshman and their families are invited to tour Seabreeze High School, 2700 N. Oleander Ave., from 5-7 p.m., Monday, Feb. 27, starting in the auditorium. This is an opportunity to learn about the programs offered and ask questions.
