Armed person shoots at OBPD officers

There were no injuries, but police are continuing to investigate the incident.

Ormond Beach police are investigating a shooting that happened at Life Village Mobile Park around 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6, in which shots were fired in officers direction when responding to a call.

According to a press release, OBPD officers were in the 100 block of Life Boulevard inside the mobile park due to a complaint of shots fired when an armed person fired "several additional shots" in their direction. There were no injuries.

Police were able to set up a perimeter and establish a verbal dialogue, leading to the person surrendering. The armed person's identity has not been released. This is a developing story.
