Summer Sounds Concert Series: Not Brothers Band

6 p.m. at Rockefeller Gardens. Free. Grab a lawn chair or blanket and come out and enjoy the great music and breeze from the Halifax River. Call 676-3241.

Reception for “Too Many Faces – Then & Now”

6 to 8 p.m. at the Peabody Auditorium, Rose Room, Daytona Beach Florida. Ormond Beach artist Wendell Fuller’s exhibition will be up until Aug. 14. It is a retrospect of 24 years of Too Many Faces and the beginnings of Fuller using latex paint.

Black Sheep Ceili Band Benefit for PACE Center for Girls Volusia-Flagler

7 to 9:30 p.m. at McK’s Tavern, 218 S. Beach St., Daytona Beach. Free admission. Donations encouraged for PACE Volusia-Flagler, located in the historic Rigby Center in Ormond Beach. They are facing a termite problem and are raising funds to have the building tented. People who donate $5 the night of the event will receive a free Black Sheep Ceili Band koozie while supplies last. Anyone unable to attend, can donate via check payable to PACE Volusia-Flagler and mailed to 208 Central Ave., Ormond Beach, FL 32174 or online. Ride-To- No-Where

Noon to 4 p.m. at American Legion Cassin Young Memorial, 156 New Britain Ave. Hosted by American Legion Post # 267 Riders. A donation of $10 includes light lunch, fun games, music, 50/50 raffle, an auction and more. All proceeds to benefit local charities and Children’s Beads of Courage. Email [email protected].


Master Gardeners Plant Clinics

10 a.m. to noon at the Ormond Beach Regional Library, 30 S. Beach St. Volusia County’s master gardeners will share summer gardening tips and answer questions. Bring your plants for a free check-up.

Candidate Forum

6 p.m. at the Ormond Beach City Commission Chambers at City Hall, located at the corner of West Granada Boulevard and South Beach Street. Citizens for Ormond Beach Inc., the sponsor, invites all candidates running for office to participate in the Meet and Greet from 6 to 6:50 p.m. At 7 p.m., the forum will begin with James Rose, a local attorney, as the moderator. The candidates for the offices of county chair, County Council District 4 and School Board District 4 will answer questions from the moderator. Also, two minutes to speak has been allotted to all candidates seeking the position of Volusia County supervisor of elections and property appraiser. CFOB is soliciting questions from residents. National Night Out: 1950’s themed “Sock Hop”

5 to 8 p.m. at the Nova Community Center, 440 N. Nova Road. The night will feature a classic car show, drive-in movie, swing dance demos, face painting, photo ops, raffles, music from local radio stations, food trucks, a lip sync battle and a special guest that the children will love to meet. 5K Ice Cream Fun Walk

7 p.m. at the Granada Shopping Center, 1 E. Granada Blvd., at the west end near the ice cream shop. The American Volkssporting Association's local chapter of the Happy Wanderers Walking Club host.
