Smile and be happy. That’s the advice of Evelyn Fretwell who celebrated her 90th birthday at a surprise party Oct. 8 with 20 family members and friends at Ormond in the Pines on Clyde Morris Boulevard. Fretwell moved to Florida in 1963 with her late, first husband who worked at General Electric. She later worked in the office at Mainland High School and Seabreeze High School. She has three children, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
