First Green Bank, 175 W. Granada Blvd., is having a school supply drive for Warner Christian Academy in South Daytona.

Branch Manager Janet Marks said the school will distribute the items to students in need. Each of the five First Green branches in Florida is participating in a drive for a school in their area.

First Green Bank was recently ranked number two in the nation in the 2014 edition of the Top 200 Healthiest Banks in America by DepositAccounts.com, an online publication for consumers. The full list can be found at depositaccounts.com/banks/health.aspx#healthiest.

Gary Yeomans, of Mercedes-Benz of Daytona Beach, raised nearly $30,000 for the Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center on July 13 with a golf tournament at the Hammock Beach Resort, Palm Coast. Nearly 150 golfers participated.

Yeomans hosted the event to benefit the hospital’s foundation, which will help fund the expansion of the hospital’s Center for Health and Wellness, located in the Medical Office Building, 305 Memorial Medical Parkway, Daytona Beach. The expansion will add approximately 5,300 square feet to the center and will provide healthy lifestyle programs for children, teens, adults and seniors within the community

Pool store management changes

Pure Pool Solutions opened recently at 128 S. Nova Road. Joe Gruber bought the store from owners of the Pool House. The business offers maintenance and supplies for residential and commercial swimming pools, and retained the Pool House staff.

The Pool House is still in business, and retains an office in the same building. However, the Pool House will now perform pool construction and renovation only.

Gruber, who has lived in Ormond Beach since 1979, said the two companies will be working as a team.
