A local bar finishes its outdoor roof; People's Premium Meats adds seating; Destination Daytona to see improvements; and more.

Caffeine Bistro and Kona Tiki Bar, at 49 W. Granada Blvd., finished work on its outdoor roof last week. The wooden structure is built 12 feet off the ground in order to leave plenty of seats in the sunshine.

People’s Premium Meats opens outdoor seating

Regina and Reinaldo Martins, owners of People’s Premium Meats, at 663 S. Nova. Road, have expanded their outdoor dining area.

The area now seats more than 20.

The Martins took over People's Premium Meats last January, after running two butcher shops in Massachusetts for 20 years.

Harley empire to improve, for 20^th anniversary

With its 20^th anniversary coming next year, Bruce Rossmeyer's Daytona Harley-Davidson is planning renovations to its three locations throughout Volusia County, including its Destination Daytona location, on U.S. 1.

“It is important to our family that we add new experiences for our customers while they spend time in our stores,” General Manager Shelly Rossmeyer Pepe said. “It was a part of what drove the company forward, stimulated increased traffic and promoted our locations over the years.”

The company plans to relocate the museum to inside of the store at Destination Daytona, to make way for additional attractions and merchandise. It also intends to reopen the store at 510 Main Street, in Daytona Beach.

The company will also celebrate its anniversary with events throughout 2014.

Two managers hired at Breakaway Trails

The Breakaway Trails subdivision has two new managers, thanks to recent hirings from commercial property management firm Perferred Management Services, of Flagler Beach.

Diane Harp has been hired as an assistant community association manager, a customer-service resource for the neighborhood. Tracy Carter is the new community association manager. She will meet with Breakaway Trails’ board of directors and handle maintenance, among other tasks.
