+ Halifax Health wins community award
Halifax Health — Hospice of Volusia-Flagler won the La Santa Maria Award Oct. 12, from the Volusia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, at its 2013 Columbus Caravel Awards Dinner and Gala, in DeBary.
The La Santa Maria Award is given to nonprofits to recognize beneficial, innovative programs to the community.
+ Rose Villa has new tenants, name
Open for nearly three weeks, Fusion 43 at The Rose Villa, 43 W. Granada Blvd., offers modern dining. Fusion 43 is managed by Anthony Trevena and Chef Mark Pullin. Maintaining the building's original vision is key to their vision, they said in a release.

+ New moms: Shop while at the hospital
New mothers who have their babies at Halifax Health can now shop for baby necessities during their stay from Halifax Health's new online store, halifaxhealthshop.org/ob.
Upon request, nursing staff provides interested new mothers with iPads that can be used to access the online store. Products offered on the site include healthcare kits, swaddlers, bottles, books, breastfeeding items and more.
+ Adams Cameron helps fight cancer
The Adams Cameron & Co. Realtors office in Ormond Beach displayed a lot of pink Friday, Oct. 11, in an effort to raise a lot of green to fight cancer. About 200-300 people attended the 17th-annual luncheon, which raised more than $5,500.
Agents, guests and local businesses all contributed food and door prizes to the event.
