Leadership class selects project

The 2014 Leadership Ormond Class has selected Avenue 12 Recovery House as the recipient of their class leadership service project. The 35-member class will raise funds and provide the labor to remove tree stumps and erect a privacy fence to secure an apartment building that is housing Avenue 12 clients.

Avenue 12 Recovery House operates transitional-living homes for women recovering from alcoholism and drug addiction. The class expects to complete the project April 25 to 27. Those interested in donating to the project can contact Kay Hayes at [email protected] or 265-4955.

The Ormond Leadership Program is a project of the Ormond Beach Chamber of Commerce, providing individuals with information on issues facing Ormond Beach. For information, contact Ivey at the chamber at 677-3454 or [email protected].
