BIZ BUZZ: Selby Realty drives for charity for 22-year anniversary

Halifax Humane Society, Toys for Tots, Halifax Urban Ministries and the American Cancer Society all got boosts, thanks Selby Realty's anniversary bash.

More than 60 people stopped by Selby Realty Inc., at 200 E. Granada Blvd., on Nov. 19 to help the company celebrate 22 years in the real estate business. But they also helped raise money for charity.

At the Celebration of Thanks, each guest was asked to pick a charity out of four options: the Halifax Humane Society, Toys for Tots, Halifax Urban Ministries or the American Cancer Society. Selby Realty then made a donation to the chosen charity in each person’s name, according to Pamela L. Rudd, vice president of property management.

Several guests also made their own cash donations and brought bags of dog food and pet toys for to the Humane Society.

“It was amazing,” Rudd said.
