A local salon hits two years in business; a wellness center sponsors health lectures; benefit auction coming this month; and, get in line now to save on marketing expo tickets.

Todd Patrick & Co. Salon hits two years.

To celebrate two years in business, staff at Todd Patrick & Co. Salon, 145 W Granada Blvd., gathered last month for a party. The salon also invited partner Dr. Marco Barusco, whose Port Orange-based Tempus Hair Restoration was celebrating three years in business.

Todd Patrick has also added two new nail technicians to staff, as well as a massage therapist. “We can now offer three manicures or pedicures simultaneously, as well as full-time massage therapy,” Patrick said.

Logical Therapy to host health lectures

Sheila Noiles, of Logical Therapy Wellness Center, at 555 W. Granada Blvd., will speak about the connection between estrogen and the thyroid at an 11 a.m. lecture Saturday, Aug. 10, at Dr. Valerie Watt’s office, 2751 Enterprise Road.

Another lecture on the same topic will be given by Dr. Audrey Gil de Rubio, of Aligned Integrated Health, and Noiles, 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, at Logical Therapy Wellness Center.

Marketing Expo coming soon: Sept. 11

A convention meant to “educate and empower” business owners, marketers and employees, the Marketing NEXT Expo, will take place Sept. 11, at the Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort, 100 N. Atlantic Ave.

There will be six breakout sessions hosted by local marketing experts, in addition to an exhibitor hall, a charity center and networking opportunities. Seriel entrepreneur Ron DeFilippo, who owns LuLu’s Oceanside Grill, at 30 S. Atlantic Ave., will be the event’s keynote speaker.

Other confirmed speakers include John Walsh, publisher of the Ormond Beach Observer; Joe Petrock, of Halifax Health; Connie Rice, Creative Consulting; Darlynn Nangana, Little Blog Dress Media; Cindy Dalecki, Marketing 2 Go; Rachel Bendix, Ormond Beach Chamber of Commerce; and more.

Until Aug. 30, tickets are $99. After Aug. 30, tickets are $129. A portion of all proceeds will benefit local first-responders.
