Bellagio hosts national event

Representatives of Odyssey Travel, an Ormond Beach travel agency for about 30 years, attended Virtuoso’s Travel Week in August at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. More than 4,100 travel advisors and suppliers such as hotels, cruise lines, airlines and tour companies convened at the hotel to network about travel opportunities and learn current trends.

Less than 1% of U.S. travel agencies are accepted for Virtuoso membership, according to a company spokeswoman.

Closer becomes certified

Southern Title has announced that Chris Clayton has become the company’s ninth closing officer to earn the Certified Land Closer designation from the Florida Land Title Association. Clayton will receive the designation, which requires five years of experience and completion of an exam, at the FLTA Convention, which will be held in Daytona Beach in November.
