Battery touch/strike. Police arrested a 40-year-old woman who spat and then slapped her roommate during an argument that began when he was sitting in his living room watching TV.

Neither told police what the argument was about. According to a report, the victim washed his face before telling her he was going to call the cops, despite her pleas against it. When police arrived at the residence, the woman would not unlock any of the doors. The victim opened the front doors for the officers, who found the woman in the kitchen.

She told police that the victim was "aggressive and has PTSD," and that there hadn't been any physical contact. She said that she had a "borderline personality disorder, and needs her Xanax."

She was transported to jail.

Dollar arrest

6:29 p.m. — 1500 block of North U.S. 1

Petit theft. A 40-year-old Bunnell woman was arrested after she stole a bottle of Downy fabric softener from a local dollar store. The bottle is valued at $1.

The store manager told police that she heard the woman drop several items and went to go help her. While they were talking, the store manager noticed the bottle in the woman's purse. Later, at the checkout counter, the woman paid for everything but the bottle of Downy.

The woman is confronted by the store manager once she walks out the front door, and the woman tells her she left the bottle by the counter. As the store manager is looking elsewhere, the woman puts the bottle by the plastic bags on the counter.

She told police that she didn't mean to steal, but that while shopping, her hand got full and she started putting things in her purse. She was taken to jail.
