Thursday, March 21

Ormond Historical Bus Tour

When: 9:45-11:45 a.m.

Where: The Casements, 25 Riverside Drive

Details: See much of the history and scenery of Ormond Beach via the Ormond Beach Historical Society’s bus tour. Beginning at The Casements, the tour includes the Loop, the Three Chimneys Sugar Mill Ruins and a visit to see the Fairchild Oak. Tickets must be purchased in advance at the MacDonald House, located at 38 E. Granada Blvd. Tickets cost $22 for adults, $20 for Historical Society members and $7 for ages 5-12. Tour takes about two hours. Call 677-7005.

Conklin Center for the Blind’s 40th-anniversary Gala

When: 6-9 p.m

Where: News-Journal Center, 221 N. Beach St.

Details: Italian classical pianist Aldo Ragone will be performing for the center’s 40th-anniversary gala. Tickets cost $50. Event is open to the public. Ragone is also offering a masterclass at Daytona State College at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, in the Gillespy Theater to select students. Visit conklincenter.org or call 258-3441.

Nature watercolor painting

When: 10 a.m. to noon

Where: Environmental Discovery Center, 601 Division Ave.

Details: Learn how to watercolor with instructor Holly Esch. All ages and skill levels invited to attend. Class is free, supplies will be provided. Space is limited. Call 615-7081 to reserve your spot.

Become a water superhero

When: 10-11 a.m.

Where: Environmental Discovery Center, 601 Division Ave.

Details: Join Jennifer Mitchell, with the St. Johns River Water Management District, as she presents a hands-on program about how irrigation and fertilizers impact local water. Free. Space is limited. Call 615-7081 to reserve your spot.

Arts and crafts market

When: noon to 4 p.m.

Where: Daytona Beach Shores Veterans Garden, 3000 Bellemead Drive

Details: Market will feature over 35 vendors with handcrafted items like metalwork, stained glass, jewelry and more. Beach Bagel Cafe food truck will be available, and there will be a live steel drum duo. Sponsored by Daytona Beach Shores Culture & Entertainment Board. Free. Call 281-3001.

Three Chimneys Family Day open house and dedication

When: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Where: Three Chimneys archaeology site, 715 W. Granada Blvd.

Details: The Ormond Beach Historical Society will host a dedication ceremony at 1 p.m. for the newly-constructed permanent Distillery Canopy, sponsored by Tom Massfeller and Nancy and Lowell Lohman. Tours of the oldest English Sugar Mill in the U.S. will be available, as well as hands-on activities for children. Refreshments will be provided. Free and open to the public. Call 677-7005.

Three-night Lenten Speaker Series

When: 7 p.m., March 24-26

Where: Prince of Peace Church, 600 S. Nova Road

Details: Speaker and Sirius XM radio show host Gus Lloyd will present, "Loving, Learning and Living Your Faith." Music prelude begins at 6:45 p.m. Free. Call 672-5272.

Esformes Hebrew Academy admissions open house

When: 3-5 p.m.

Where: Esformes Hebrew Academy, 1079 W. Granada Blvd.
