Third-annual Hearts and Arts

When: 5-8 p.m.

Where: Palmetto Club, 1000 S. Beach St.

Details: Presented by the Volusia County Women's Network, this showcase of local female artists benefits local nonprofits. Original artwork will be for sale. Low-cost mobile pet vaccination clinic

When: 3-5 p.m.

Where: Ormond Beach Police Department, 170 W. Granada Blvd.

Details: This cash-only clinic offers the RV/Distemper combo, flea medications and other treatments. Contact animal services at 676-3262.

Monday, Aug. 12

Civil Discourse

When: 5:30 p.m.

Where: Ormond Beach Regional Library auditorium, 30 S. Beach St.

Details: Join a roundtable discussion on the topic, "What the heck is Smart Growth and what does it mean to me?" All are welcome. Goal is for the respectful exchange of ideas to take place.
