'The Art of Photography' art talk

When: 5:30-6:30 p.m. 

Where: Ocean Art Gallery, 197 E. Granada Blvd.

Details: Local photographer William Toti will be providing a free art talk, titled "The Art of Photography," where he will discuss photography's recognition as an art form, the subjective nature of art and how smartphones impact photographic art. Call 386-317-9400 to register.

32nd-annual Starry, Starry Night

When: 5-8 p.m.

Where: The Casements, 25 Riverside Drive

Details: Starry, Starry Night returns for its 32nd-annual celebration of arts and culture in Ormond Beach. This free event co-sponsored by the Ormond Memorial Art Museum, the Ormond Beach Historical Society, The Casements and the Ormond Beach Arts District features a special exhibits and live music. Enjoy refreshments at every stop. Start at either The Casements or at St. James Episcopal Church.

Free family art night

When: 6-7:30 p.m.

Where: St. James Episcopal Church's Parish Hall, 38 S. Halifax Drive

Details: Drop by with your family to create a fun art project under the direction of Linda King. All supplies will be provided. Face coverings are required, regardless of vaccination status.

Saturday, Jan. 15

6th-annual Florida History Con

When: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

See reenactors during the 6th-annual Florida History Con at MOAS. Courtesy photo

Where: The Museum of Arts and Sciences, 352 S. Nova Road

Details: Join MOAS for an all-day celebration of Florida history, complete with reenactors, historical displays, local history clubs, lectures and more. The event is free for all MOAS members and is included with general admission into the museum, which is $12.95 for adults, $10.95 for seniors and students, and $6.95 for children ages 6-17. Roll Back to the 80s with John Ford Coley

When: 7 p.m.

Where: Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center, 399 N. U.S. 1

Details: The Friends of the Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center are hosting American singer John Ford Coley in this fundraiser event. Coley is a classically-trained pianist, guitarist, actor and author

known for his partnership in the musical duo, England Dan and John Ford Coley. Some of their hits of the 70s and 80s include, "I'd Really Love To See You Tonight" and "Nights Are Forever Without You." Funds raised will help the PAC with its renovations. The show will open with Orlando-area singer Scherezada Morales. Tickets cost $30 per person, and are available at the PAC box office or at tix5.centerstageticketing.com

Monday, Jan. 17

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Breakfast-to-go celebration

When: 8-10 a.m.

Where: South Ormond Neighborhood Center, 176 Division Ave.

Ormond Beach walking event

When: 6-7 p.m.
