Friday, Oct. 18

Great Kinds mini golf festival

When: 7-9 p.m.

Where: Pirate's Cove Adventure Golf, 226 Cardinal Drive

Details: Join Great Kids Learning Center for its annual Pirate's Cove miniature golf festival. Registration begins at 6:30 p.m. Entry fee costs $10 per person and includes 18 holes of miniature golf, a meet and greet pirate photo session, face painting, scavenger hunt, raffle and refreshments.

Saturday, Oct. 19

Ormond Beach Garden Club garage sale

When: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Where: 16 Concord Drive

Church fall open house

When: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: Holy Dormition Byzantine Catholic Church, 17 Buckskin Lane

Details: Tour the church, learn the differences of the Eastern Catholic Church and the Roman Catholic Church, hear the plain chant of the Byzantine Catholic Church, see the iconography, meet and greet parishioners, enjoy some refreshments and join the church for services. Annual Italian Festa

When: 6:30-10 p.m.

Where: Prince of Peace Church Hall, 600 S. Nova Road

Details: Presented by the Italian Club of Ormond Beach. Appetizers and cash bar at 6:30 p.m. Dinner and dancing at 7 p.m. to the music of Carl Monte. Dinner will consist of a homemade lasagna, salad, bread, coffee and dessert. Tickets cost $15 for guests and $12 for members. Call Kathy at 334-0593.

Monday, Oct. 21

Mondays with the Mayor 

When: 5 p.m.

Where: Starbucks, 125 E. Granada Blvd.

Details: Come share thoughts and ideas with Mayor Bill Partington in the kick-off event for this new series, to be held the third Monday of every month. Starbucks will be providing complimentary brewed coffee to attendees.

Stack-n-Whack quilting lecture

When: 6:30 p.m.

Where: Ormond Beach Presbyterian Church, 105 Amsden Road

Details: Join the Racing Fingers Quilt Guild for this free presentation on an easy way to create quilt blocks with unique kaleidoscope designs. Selection of fabric, amount of fabric need and basic technique will be discussed. Open to the public. Contact [email protected]

Wednesday, Oct. 23

Dance lessons

When: 12:30-1:30 p.m.

Where: Ormond Senior Center, 351 Andrews St.

Details: On Wednesdays, the Council on Aging offers dance lessons provided by "Dance With Me" instructors Tom and Jo Sanders. Costs $2. Participants are welcome to stay afterward for a dance gala and social, from 2 to 4 p.m. featuring live big band music by The Blue Notes. Call 672-4159.

Puppet show

When: 3-3:30 p.m.

Where: Ormond Beach Environmental Discovery Center, 601 Division Ave.

Fun Walk

When: 6 p.m.

Where: Cassen Park, 1 S. Beach St.
