Thursday, July 1

Independence Day block party

When: 4:30-7:30 p.m.

Where: Tanger Outlets, 1100 Cornerstone Blvd.

Details: Kick off the July 4 weekend with a bang. Enjoy live music, a kids fun zone, beer and wine garden, animal adoptions, face painting and more. The free block party will take place near the Under Armour store.

Civil Discourse/Common Ground meeting

When: 5:30 p.m.

Where: Ormond Beach Public Library, 30 S. Beach St.

Saturday, July 3

Art walk

When: 5-8 p.m.

Where: Ormond Beach MainStreet Arts District, 128 W. Granada Blvd.

Details: Join Ocean Art Gallery, Frame of Mind, Arts on Granada, Thays Art Gallery and Studio, Culture Period Hair Salon and Neighborhood Shop on the first Saturday of each month for art openings and art events. Free. Visit OrmondBeachMainstreet.com

Sunday, July 4

Independence Day Celebration

When: 8-9:30 p.m.

Where: Rockefeller Gardens, 26 Riverside Drive 

Details: Join the city of Ormond Beach for its annual Fourth of July fireworks display. Fireworks at 9 p.m. There will be music and food trucks. Call 676-3241.

Tuesday, July 6

Watercolor workshop

When: 1-4 p.m.

Where: Ocean Art Gallery, 197 E. Granada Blvd.

Details: Learn watercolor painting with artist Bibi Gromling. She will lead students through a fun, step-by-step watercolor creation. Space is limited. Workshop costs $75 and includes all supplies. Call 317-9400.

Thursday, July 8

Artist opening reception

When: 5:30 p.m.

Where: Ocean Art Gallery, 197 E. Granada Blvd.

Details: Meet acrylic artist Scott Hiestand and hear his talk titled, "The Landscape - The Wildlife." There will be music, art and refreshments.
