Annual Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day 2019

Ormond Beach Follies

When: 7:30 p.m. on March 29-30; 2:30 p.m. on March 31

Where: Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center, 399 N. U.S. 1

Details: Featuring 50 residents from 11 to 94 years old, this year's show, "What the World Needs Now" is a fast-paced, high-energy variety show with songs from the 50s, 60s and 70s. This year's show explores the ways the world could be a better place to live in. Tickets cost $15. Call 676-3375.

Saturday, March 30

24th-annual Herb Faire

When: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Where: Bailey Riverbridge Gardens meeting house, 1 N. Beach St.

Details: Buy culinary, ornamental and medicinal herbs. Enjoy live music, cooking demonstrations, vendors, speakers and baked goods.

Making Chief Osceola

When: 9:30-11 a.m. 

Where: Anderson-Price Building, 42 N. Beach St.

Details: As part of the Florida Humanities Speaker Series, Dr. Andrew Frank will explore how Chief Osceola became national phenomenon after his death. Refreshments at the beginning, with the presentation to follow. Free and open to the public. Call 677-7005.

Ormond Loop Spring trail walk

When: 10 a.m. to noon

Where: Michael Crotty Bicentennial Park, 1850 Oceanshore Blvd.

Details: Join Don Spence, assistant professor of biology at Bethune-Cookman University, for a walk through Bicentennial Park. Spence will talk about the natural plant cycles and ecosystem recovery and resilience. Wear comfortable shoes, dress appropriately for the weather, and bring water, a hat and sunscreen. Timucuan Fishing Technology

When: 1-2 p.m.

Where: Anderson-Price Building, 42 N. Beach St.

Details: The Ormond Beach Historical Society, with the Florida Public Archaeology Network, will be hosoting this hands-on program for kids about fishing and its importance to the Timucuan Indians. Explore various artifacts and learn their fishing techniques. Free program for school-age children. RSVP by calling 677-7005.

Jazz performance

When: 2 p.m.

Where: Ormond Beach Library, 30 S. Beach St.

Details: Stop by the library to hear the Daniel Bennett Group performing a mix of jazz, folk and minimalism. Bennett, a New York saxophonist, will be joined by guitarist Nat Janoff and percussionist Koko Bermejo. Free concert. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Call 676-4191, option 4.

Details: Join this group that encourages ties between people of all political views to "engage in the respectful exchange of information, values, interest and positions for creative problem solving and  and democratic governance," according to the National Institute for Civil Discourse.

'Two Guys with Horns'

Where: The Casements, 25 Riverside Drive
