Toddler Time

When: 9:30-11 a.m.

Where: St. James Episcopal Church, 38 S. Halifax Drive

Details: This weekly program, held in the Parish Life Center's nursery, is for parents and children ages 1-4. Activities will include circle time, structured play, themed crafts and a snack. Contact Jillian Chance at 904-589-0365.

Saturday, Aug. 24

'So Long Summer' Sip, Savor & Stroll

When: 1:30-4:30 p.m.

Where: Anderson-Price Memorial Building, 42 N. Beach St.

Details: Presented by the Ormond Beach Historical Society and MainStreet, this returning event features an afternoon of summer fun with live music, food and beverage samples from local restaurants along New Britain Ave., including 31 Supper Club, Rose Villa, 63 Sovereign, the Grind and Hull's. Monday, Aug. 26

Civil Discourse town hall

When: 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Where: Ormond Beach Regional Library, 30 S. Beach St.

Details: Join Civil Discourse and Clay Ervin, the county's director of growth and resource management, for a town hall meeting that will answer "What the heck is smart growth and what does it mean to me?" Public is invited to attend and ask questions. Call 770-883-1653.

Wednesday, Aug. 28

Dance lessons

When: 12:30-1:30 p.m.

Where: Ormond Senior Center, 351 Andrews St.

Details: On Wednesdays, the Council on Aging offers dance lessons provided by "Dance With Me" instructors Tom and Jo Sanders. Costs $2. Participants are welcome to stay afterward for a dance gala and social, from 2-4 p.m. featuring live big band music by The Blue Notes. Call 672-4159.

Puppet show at the EDC

When: 3-4 p.m.

Where: Environmental Discovery Center, 601 Division Ave.

Details: Kids are invited to attend a free nature themed puppet show program. Call 615-7081.
