'Fleeting Moments of Beauty' art talk 

When: 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Where: Ocean Art Gallery, 197 E. Granada Blvd.

Details: Photographer Ed Siarkowicz will be discussing "Fleeting Moments of Beauty" during his featured art talk at Ocean Art Gallery. He will explore how he captures his images and what thoughts captured him at the time he took the photographs. Call 317-9400.

Low-cost pet shot clinic

When: 2:30-4 p.m.

Where: Skate and Shake, 251 N. U.S. 1

Details: Get your pet vaccinated at a lower cost. Rabies shots will cost $5 for 1-year vaccinations. Other shots offered include dog distemper/parvo combo, dog flu, cat distemper combo, feline leukemia and more. Heartworm prevention and flea control products will be available for purchase. All vaccinations are administered with a licensed veterinarian. Second-annual Little Literacy Heroes 5K

Where: One Daytona, 1 Daytona Blvd.

Details: This 5K event by the Early Learning Literacy Coalition of Flagler and Volusia Counties will feature a 5K walk/run, DJ, a Kids Zone and a 10 a.m. story time. Proceeds from the event will benefit Dolly Parton's Imagination Library of Volusia, a book-gifting program for children up to 5 years old.
