Women of the Uncommon Cloth II opening reception

When: 6-8 p.m.

Where: Ormond Memorial Art Museum, 78 E. Granada Blvd.

Details: Celebrate the opening of this exhibit by artists June Lee, Sooo-z Mastropietro and Laura Mongiovi. Their work with fiber explores the relation between culture, cloth and the individual human experience. The exhibit will be on display until March 2. 

Saturday, Jan. 26

Dogapalooza 2019

When: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: Ormond Memorial Art Museum, 78 E. Granada Blvd.

Details: The fifth-annual Dogapalooza celebration will spread through the museum gardens, parking lot and museum. The event features food, vendors, and a canine costume contest at 12:30 p.m. Dogapalooza will benefit the Great Dawg Rescue and Sophie's Circle Dog Rescue.

'Assisted Living, The Musical'

When: 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Where: Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center, 399 N. U.S. 1

Details: Presented by Allengang Entertainment and performed by its authors Compton and Bennett, this show sets out to deliver laughs. Taking place in Pelican Roost, an active senior living community, this musical features 18 characters, each with unique answers to "later-life's questions." The show will benefit the Council on Aging of Volusia County and its Meals on Wheels program. Tickets cost $30 in advance; $35 at the door. Call 676-3375.

American Legion Auxiliary golf tournament

Where: Call for info. 

Details: Players may sign up at the Legion Post no. 264, located at 156 New Britain Ave. The $60 per golfer entry includes door prizes, course beverages, a buffet lunch and golfing awards. Call 672-7678.

The Fabulous Hubcaps 

When: 2:30 p.m.

Where: Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center, 399 N. U.S. 1

Monday, Jan. 28

DAR Meeting

When: 11:30 a.m.

Where: Anderson-Price Memorial Building, 42 N. Beach St.

Glenn Miller Orchestra

Wake up Walks in Central Park

When: 8-10 a.m.

Where: Environmental Discovery Center, 601 Division Ave.

Details: Join the EDC for a leisurely stroll along Central Park's trails. Begins and ends at the EDC parking lot. Dress for weather. People are encouraged to bring water and binoculars. No reservations required. Call 615-7081.
