M&M's, gum drops and candy canes were scattered across the tables at the Ormond Memorial Art Museum Saturday afternoon, for the facility's annual gingerbread house-making event.
Dylan Tocci, 6, carefully built a frosting-lined gummy fence while Addy Fulton, 7, put together more roofing for her house. The two were deep in concentration.
Abby Blackadar, 10, and her sister Megan, 11, giggled and critiqued each other's candy-coated architecture.
Jocelyn Haenftling, 7, created a tree and presents for her gingerbread house.
"They are fun to make," she smiled.
Linda King, the museum's art liaison, and Barb Saunders, curator of special projects, led this year's rendition of the nearly decade-old event.
"I guess it's two of their favorite things: candy and creativity," King said.
