Who knew being in shape could pay off?

The hard work has paid off for all those participating in the Mayor’s Fitness Challenge, but it paid off a little extra for three participants.
Scott McKee, city clerk, Mario Pozo and Leslie McKee took first, second and third place, respectively, April 6, at the city-sponsored Mayor's Fitness Challenge finale.
Participants competed in a bridge run, step-up or jump-up, burpee and plank holds.
Prize money for the top three finishers was $500 for first, $250 for second and $100 along with a one-year YMCA membership for third.
The fitness challenge will officially wrap up April 27, with an awards ceremony at Rockefeller Gardens.
