A three-year-old child was injured in an incident on West Granada Boulevard at 2.18 p.m. on March 1.

Police said a preliminary investigation showed that Ashley Dawn Wilson, 29, drove her Chevy Blazer to Nature’s Garden, 58 W. Granada Blvd. She went inside the store, leaving her child unattended, police said. The Blazer somehow shifted into reverse and backed out of the parking lot onto West Granada Boulevard.

While the vehicle was in motion, the child somehow fell from the car and was injured, the police report said.

The child was airlifted to Halifax Health by AIR 1.
