Citizens get chance to speak on city budget

Town Hall meeting set

The public is invited to give their opinions at a Town Hall Budget Meeting at 5:30 p.m. on May 20 in the Commission Conference Room at City Hall, 22 S. Beach St. Citizens will be able to provide input on what they think should be in the budget and also suggest changes, according to a city spokeswoman.

This is the first in a series of meetings where the public will get a chance to let their opinions be known as staff prepares next year’s budget, which will be considered by the city commissioners later this year.

Meet your representative

Rep. Dave Hood, of the Florida House of Representatives, District 25, which includes Ormond Beach, will hold a series of four town hall meetings in the area to discuss the 2014 Legislative Session and to hear comments and suggestions from his constituents. The Ormond Beach meeting will be 6:30-7:30 p.m. on June 11 at City Hall, 22 S. Beach St.
