Units from all four Ormond Beach Fire Department Stations, along with two units from Volusia County Fire Services were called to a residential fire early Friday morning.

The OBFD and VCFS were altered to the fire, on the first block of Linden Falls Drive, by one of the occupants.

When the OBFD arrived, the fire was coming through the roof at the rear corner of the residence.

The Ormond Beach Police Department was also on scene, and officers helped bring two occupants to the front of the home.

According to a statement from the city, a police officer tried to put out a fire on the ceiling of the master bedroom with a small fire extinguisher.

The city says the fire appears to have been caused by an electrical issue, and the Florida State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause and origin.

Total damages were estimated at $75,000 and no other structures were damaged.
