The city of Ormond Beach Leisure Services Department is taking registrations for youth flag football from Aug. 7 to Aug. 27. Boys and girls ages 7-14 (as of Sept. 1, 2018) are eligible to compete.
The fee for Ormond Beach residents is $61, with proof of residency required, and $92 for non-residents.
Skill assessments are on Saturday, Aug. 25, on softball quad No. 1 at the Ormond Beach Sports Complex, located at 700 Hull Road, at the following times: PeeWee (ages 7-9) at 9 a.m.; Junior (ages 10-11) at 11 a.m.; Senior (ages 12-14) at 12:30 p.m. If you want to play on a team, you must go to one of the skill assessments. The mandatory meeting for coaches is at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, at the Sports Complex Field House.
Practice begins on Sept. 4 and the season opener is on Sept. 24.
In addition, coaches and sponsors are needed. Sponsorship is $125. Make checks payable to: City of Ormond Beach. The name of the sponsor will be placed on the team shirts, and plaques will be given to each sponsor.
