The Council on Aging has joined #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving by individuals, communities and organizations to celebrate generosity worldwide.
The donations support COA’s programs and services that care for the most at-risk seniors in the community, such as Meals on Wheels, Companion Care and Respite Support for seniors with early stage dementia.
Occurring this year on Dec. 1, #GivingTuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving to kick-off the holiday giving season and inspire people to give to the charities and causes they support.
