BY EMILY BLACKWOOD | STAFF WRITER

Some Ormond Beachers could soon be working overtime, following Daytona Playhouse auditions opening this weekend.

The Playhouse will host auditions for its "9 to 5" musical  Jan. 12 and 13. The show, based on a 1980 hit movie, focuses on a group of three female coworkers that concoct a plan to get even with their sexist, egotistical, hypocritical boss.

Auditions start at 7 p.m. Actors must be 18 or older. The available parts for the show are as follows: six female roles, ages 25 to 50; eight male, ages 30 to 55; and six to 10 chorus parts.

Actors are expected to bring a CD or sheet music for the auditions, as well as do cold readings from the script.
