Dine out, support a local organization, and meet with the city manager

Organizations have dinners planned as fundraisers and the city manager wants to hear from you.

What: “Friends of St. James” Fourth Annual Fish Fry,
When: 4-7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1
Where: St. James Episcopal Church, 38 S. Halifax Drive
Tickets: $10 for adults; $5 for children 12 and younger
Details: Dinner includes deep fried fish, French fries, coleslaw, hush puppies, Key lime pie and iced tea or lemonade. The youth group will sell soft drinks for  $1 or patrons can BYOB.
Proceeds go to the installation of an elevator in the Parish Life Center.

What: Salty Family services annual dinner fundraiser
When: 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5
Where: The Shores Resort and Spa, 2637 S. Atlantic Ave., Daytona Beach Shores
Tickets: $65 per person, purchase online saltyfamilyservices.org/donate. Corporate sponsorships available, email: [email protected]
Details: The event includes live music, dinner, a guest speaker and testimonies. The Salty Church was formed in 2016 as a social services ministry of Salty Church to lead the fight in preventing child abuse and neglect. The mission is to Rescue, Serve and Empower the families in Volusia and Flagler counties.

What: Polish American dinner dance
When: 12:30-5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10
Where: Polish American Pulaski Club, 3621 W. International Speedway Blvd., Daytona Beach
Tickets and Reservations: $20 for dinner and dance; $12 for dance only. RSVP for dinner by noon, Friday, Sept. 8. Please call 258-7059
