The Volusia County Elections Office and Votran are partnering to offer free rides to the polls on Election Day.

Transportation to voting sites will be available for early voting 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27 to Saturday, Nov. 3, as well as Nov. 6, for riders who show a valid voter ID.

Voters are encouraged to check Votran schedules for arrival and departure times and bus routes.

The program is also available for residents registered for Votran’s Gold Service, which provides transportation for residents who, because of physical or mental disability or age, cannot transport themselves or use fixed-route bus service
