What: Flag Day ceremony and Family Day pot luck and pig roast

When: 1 p.m. Saturday, June 10

Where: Elks Lodge 2193 285 Wilmette Ave.

Details: Flag Day ceremony begins at 1 p.m. with local Boy Scouts participating. Family day includes kids games, live entertainment and a chance to learn about becoming an Elk. Bring your favorite dish to share at pig roast.

Cost: Food is $12 all you can eat per person or $25 for the family

Archaeology Works: Animals

When: 10-11 a.m. Saturday, June 10

Where: Environmental Discovery Center, 601 Division Ave.

Cost: Free

Details: Animals are an important part of many cultures and can teach us about food, art, tools, technology and more. Discover how archaeologists use animal remains to learn about the past, and try your hand at identifying and analyzing remains.

Autism and related disabilities seminar

When: 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 10

Where: First United Methodist Church, 336 S. Halifax Drive

Details: Informational session on autism and services available through the UCF Center for Autism and Related Disabilities.

Halifax Humane Society Yappy Hour

When: 5:30-7:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 14

Where: WingHouse Beachside, 250 N. Atlantic Ave. Daytona Beach

Cost: $15 per person includes two drinks and light appetizers

Details: Benefits the homeless animals at the humane society. Well-behaved dogs on leashes are welcome.

Fundamentals of Yoga

When: 9-10 a.m. Thursday mornings

Where: Ormond Beach Senior Center, 351 Andrews St.

Details: Class is directed toward new students, those returning after an extended absence and seniors.

Cost: $5 per class, pay as you go. No registration required

Reel in the Fun kid’s fishing tournament

What: Free kids catch and release fishing tournament for Ormond Beach residents

When: 8 a.m. check in (prior registration required), 9 a.m. start Saturday, June 17

Where: Neptune Ave. beach approach (north of Granada) Parking at Grace Lutheran Church

Registration: At the Leisure Services Registration Office, 399 N. U.S. 1.  The Registration Office hours are Monday–Thursday, 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., and Friday, 7:30 a.m.–3 p.m.  Registration will end on Wednesday, June 14, at 3:00 p.m.

Details: Each team will consist of one adult and up to two children.  Children must be ages 4-12 years old.  Prizes and awards will be given.
