In what has come to be a local pre-Super Bowl tradition, Tina’s Seventh Annual Chili Cook-off will come again to Ormond Lanes Family Fun Center at 260 N. U.S. 1 in Ormond Beach on Sunday, Feb. 5, starting at 10:30 a.m. Tina Kirk, a manager at Ormond Lanes, will again host the fundraiser for the Children’s Home Society.

The event includes a chili cook-off, bake sale, silent auction, raffle (past prizes have included golf and romantic night-out packages) and nine-pin no-tap bowling (men, women and youth divisions). The cook-off begins with a 10:30 a.m. registration ($20 entry fee). Tasting and judging will take place from 11 to noon ($5 to participate in the tasting and judging). The nine pin no-tap registration ($20) begins at 11:30 and bowling starts at noon (a ticket to taste and judge the chili, along with a raffle ticket is included).

Kirk has organized and hosted this event since 2010, and has raised thousands of dollars for the Children’s Home Society. She is asking the public to be a taster, judge or contestant (businesses and home-cooked entries are welcome.) Call Tina Kirk at Ormond Lanes at 672-2014.
