The city is seeking additional volunteers to support the Environmental Discovery Center.

The EDC offers environmental education through children’s classes, summer camp, family and community programs, exhibits, speakers, and special events. Opportunities to get involved include community program leaders, field trip leaders, exhibit docents, special events, outreach, fundraising, and program development.

No matter what position, volunteers will be environmental stewards to Central Park and Volusia County as a whole and will lead to the education and inspiration of local residents and visitors alike.

EDC opened in May 2016. For more information about volunteering, or to apply, please call 676-3293.
