Celebration ends with Summer Sounds concert.

Residents and visitors can celebrate the history of Ormond Beach in the Rock ‘n Roll Snack ‘n Stroll event, 4-7 p.m. on July 25. It’s part of the year-long celebration by the Casements Guild of the 100th birthday of The Casements. Food and a raffle will be available to those who picked up a ticket, which were available at The Casements until July 23. Those without a ticket can still visit the venues and enjoy the music.

Oceanside Golf and Country Club, 75 N. Halifax Drive. Visit the golf course where John D. Rockefeller played while enjoying h’ordeurves prepared by the chef.

Ormond Memorial Art Museum and Gardens, 78 E. Granada Blvd. Tour the current art display along with Elvis music and peanut butter and banana snacks.

Ormond Beach Historical Society Welcome Center, 38 E. Granada Blvd. Volunteers will be on hand to talk about the history of Ormond Beach along with displays and lemonade.

The Casements, 25 Riverside Drive. Take a tour and listen to 1950s music at the Gazebo, along with a classic car display. The evening culminates with rock and roll music performed by The Knights to Remember at the final Summer Sounds Concert at Rockefeller Gardens at 7 p.m.

Casements Centennial Co-chairwoman Kathie Liviccori said the events of the centennial year have brought more people to The Casements than ever. She said the guild wants to people to realize the history of the community and what The Casements has to offer.

“We want to bring the community together,” she said. “It’s interesting to see how many who live here have never been to The Casements.”
