Eyeglasses, cash tills and other things that were stolen from local businesses in four days

Ormond Beach had five burglaries in four days.

Oct. 25

Downtown Pizza

How they got in: Front glass door was shattered, though lock was still in place.

What was taken: $250 and cash register drawer, valued at $65.

Suspect: No none suspects, though police reported two burglaries happened that night in Daytona Beach and another in South Daytona which matched the same break-in style.

Oct. 28

Einstein Bros. Bagels

How they got in: Front glass door was shattered. 

What was taken: Two cash register drawers, valued at $800.

Suspect: A white male driving a blue Dodge truck with chrome tail light covers.

A Touch of Class Cleaners

How they got in: Police report suspect threw a large piece of asphalt through the side glass door.

What was taken: Nothing. Suspect initially took the cash till, but once he realized it was empty, he left it behind.

Suspect: Same white male from the Einstein Bros. Bagels burglary. 

Oct. 29

20/20 Vision Center

How they got in: Suspect entered through empty adjoining unit, used a crow bar to punch a big enough hole to crawl through to enter the business.

What was taken: AIT Combimax Tracer Blocker, valued at $9,366, an auto refractor keratometer, valued at $9,850, topcon power table, valued at $1,000 and 46 eyeglass frames, valued collectively at $4,480

Suspect: No known suspects.

Oct. 30

Florida Eye Clinic

How they got in: Forced entry through back door

What was taken: Numerous non-prescription sunglasses, valued at $5,500, numerous eye glass frames, valued at $50,000 and an ADT alarm system box, valued at $3,000.

Suspects: No known suspects.
