Fall fest options coming to Ormond

Hit a fall fest or pick up a pumpkin this Halloween, from one of two local churches prepping for the holiday.

Christ Presbyterian fall fest coming

Christ Presbyterian Chruch, at 1035 W. Granada Blvd., will host a fall festival 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, with a trunk-or-treat event, carnival booths, a pie-eating contest, chili dinner and a bounce house.

Kids are encouraged to come in their best costumes. Entry, and a chili or hot dog dinner, is free, with costs for games and snacks. The event is hosted by the 412 Youth of Christ Presbyterian.

Grace Lutheran boasts 2,000 pumpkins in this year’s patch

Grace Lutheran Church, located at 338 Ocean Shore Blvd., has opened its annual pumpkin patch, with more than  2,000 pumpkins on display and for sale by the church's youth group.

Pumpkins will be for sale through October 31.
