The students aim to fight homelessness through a lock in at the school's courtyard on Jan. 24.

What would it like to be homeless for a night? The students at Father Lopez Catholic High School will find out for a minimum donation of $25.

In an effort to raise awareness for the homeless, students will spend the night in their school’s courtyard with only a cardboard box. The more money the students raise, the more items, such as sweatshirts and blankets, they will be able to rent during the lockout. Students are only allowed to wear a t-shirt, jeans or shorts and shoes.

All proceeds from the event will be used to help eradicate poverty and hunger in local and international communities.
