Fight breaks out in public bus after one passenger bumped another with his mobility chair

Bus brawl

10:17 a.m. — 800 block of West Granada Boulevard

Assault. Four Votran bus passengers had to be separated in a fight that broke out after one of them bumped the other's foot with his mobility chair. In retaliation the man, who is blind, began to attack the passenger with his hands.

Police report a female passenger and the bus driver got involved to separate the two men, and the woman was consequently punched in the chest by the blind passenger. All declined to pursue criminal charges against him, and he was taken away by Votran supervisor. The other passengers were loaded into a separate bus.

Flavored vandalism

6:25 p.m. — 700 block of John Anderson Drive

Vandalism. A woman called police after she found her television room window was broken. She pointed out to officers an empty 7-Eleven watermelon-flavored plastic bottle which she believed was used to break her window.

She told police that she did not know who had broke the window and that, while it could have been neighborhood kids, se was concerned the window was broken by her daughter's ex-boyfriend.
