Both Shine and Smith were identified by what the Ormond Beach Police Department considered to be the "five biggest players" in car breaks and auto thefts in the area during a Crime View meeting held on Nov. 15. During its investigation, police saw evidence of their involvement in car theft cases in Ormond Beach, Daytona Beach and as far as Deltona thanks to social media posts by the men, which included videos waving guns and stolen car keys around.

All four are being charged for crimes committed from late October to mid-November. Their arraignments are scheduled for early January, except for Manning's whose is scheduled for Dec. 28.
