Press release provided by Florida Hospitals

Area residents will have free access to Florida Hospital eCare Urgent Care providers throughout Hurricane Irma. Typically, the virtual visits are $49, but through Tuesday, Sept. 12, Florida Hospital is offering the service completely free.

“This hurricane is unprecedented, and we realize many residents will be confined to their homes for extended periods of time. And yet, despite the storm, illness and injuries still happen,” says Florida Hospital Centra Care President and CEO Scott Brady, MD. “We want residents to know we’re available should the need for urgent care arise before, during, or after the storm.”

Florida Hospital providers are available 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day until the storm subsides. Users can expect live and

secure tele-health consultations for a range of services.

As the community prepares for Hurricane Irma, residents are encouraged to download the free Florida Hospital eCare app now and set up a personal or family account before the storm hits.

The app can be downloaded for free onto any smartphone or tablet by searching, “eCare” or “Florida Hospital eCare.”
