8:43 p.m. —595 Collins St. Arrest: An anonymous tipster told police that a felony fugitive was driving a silver Hyundai Elantra, and a police officer spotted the car and followed it to a driveway. The officer identified the driver as the fugitive. The 35-year-old fugitive was wanted on a warrant for five charges: aggravated stalking after injunction, possession of cocaine, sexual cyber harassment, stalking and violation of an injunction for domestic violence protection.
After the officer handcuffed the fugitive, the fugitive asked the officer to get the fugitive's cell phone from the car so the fugitive could bring it with him to jail. In the passenger seat next to the cell phone was a clear plastic bag of cocaine.
Police also found hash oil in two folded pieces of paper in the fugitive's pocket. After he was charged with possession of cocaine and hash oil, the fugitive asked the officer he could “work with him” on the charges. In the end, the fugitive told police, “Just take me to jail.”
8 a.m. —170 N. Old Kings Road. Theft: A social services manager contacted police after her client told her that some of his clothes had been disappearing over the past two weeks. The 86-year-old victim reported two missing pairs of pants to police, valued at $40. The man is not pursuing charges for the theft.
